Sbc (single board computer) , is a complete computer that built on a single circuit board, This board has i\o, memory and microprocessors, it’s mostly used for developers or embedded computer controller, unlike a desktop personal computer, single board computers often did not rely on expansion slots for peripheral functions or expansion. Some single-board computers are made to plug into a backplane for system expansion and increase functionality.
Backplane
A backplane (or “backplane system”) is a group of electrical connectors in parallel with each other, It is used as a backbone to connect several printed circuit boards together to make up a complete computer system.Backplane is used to connect SBC and provide the same functionality as a motherboard, to the backplane you can plug several SBCs to increase the system performance.
